Conducted impact assessments on specific change delivery to analyse the available scope given by the client compared to the required scope. Gained experience of completing work and documentation to the standards of the client under tight deadlines and working across disciplines to ensure electrical, piping, and outfit modelling and drawings were fully up to date. Part of the STEM Ambassador team at Belcan, giving engineering related talks to school children across the wider Hamilton area.

Over the 10 week placement that I undertook at David Brown Santasalo I conducted a literature and software review dealing with hydrodynamic bearing design. During this process I was able to work with and learn from the engineers at DBS who guided me to successfully completing the review. I was able to gain experience of multiple software packages and further my skills allowing me to provide a higher standard of work in a more efficient manner. I am grateful to everyone at David Brown for teaching me and giving me the responsibility required to show off my skillset. It is an experience which has enhanced my motivation and passion for engineering.
