Writing has been my native language since I was a young girl. After having my first child, I left a marketing role in higher education. My daily work as a mother of now five children has been the character training I always needed. The work I do now in writing, editing, web design and social media is the flavored, slow simmer of the last 15 years:I carry a journalistic background and style, heavy on interviewing, detail and integrity. I know if I find the people—whether its a product audience, or a small business owner getting their work out there—I will find the message that holds weight. In my higher ed marketing role, our team setting as a digital specialist gave me exposure to the diverse platforms for digital marketing, from web development to content management to social media. As a mother I have grown in strategy, efficiency, negotiation, and observation, so that planning and execution now accompany creativity. I know success: when I have "salted" the subject of my work until the true flavor sings, and the traces of my work disappear.
