- Led a review of all International Voluntary Service national and international safeguarding policies and procedures in partnership with Scottish Government.- Carried out a full impact review of all IVS volunteer placements in the UK and overseas to focus on a small number of quality community driven engagements overseas - Reviewed all policies and procedures as well training and development for volunteers, to move towards localisation and shifting the power balance from global north to global south- Implemented a full governance review and HR audit, resulting in new board member recruitment as well as winning the 2019 Scottish Diversity Award for the Young Trustee Initiative - Coordinated a historical review of IVS involving national archives to document the significance of the organisation as the UK’s first volunteering organisation to re-establish the organisation to its deserved reputation. - Successfully advocated and achieved recognition of UN International Peace Day by the Scottish Parliament, leading to a motion being brought forward to remember a global ceasefire annually on 22nd September. - secured 3 major EU grants totalling £800k to sustain European Solidarity Corps positions in the UK post Brexit
