I am an educational professional currently teaching English at All Saints Catholic School in Canton, MI.I plan, teach and assess lessons in English concentrating on the development of reading strategies, writing techniques, effective communication skills, vocabulary development, and grammar.I use a wide range of teaching strategies to maximize student learning integrating technology as an instructional tool. Students deserve a safe learning environment therefore I have created and implemented an effective classroom management plan that supports focused learning and respect.In addition to teaching content, I am responsible for grading all student work, maintaining all grades and student records, producing quarterly and semester grade reports for students, parents and administration, providing constructive feedback in order to assist students to reach their full potential in the classroom and communicating with parents through email, phone calls and Parent Teacher Conferences. I collaborate regularly with the staff to ensure that students with individualized learning plans receive the instruction and assessment necessary for academic success and I work cooperatively with teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, tech support and support staff. I also actively participate in department meetings, faculty meetings, in-service meetings and school events such as Open Houses, Parent Nights, Nativity Night, and fund raising events.In addition, I serve as Moderator for the National Junior Honor Society which includes leading and guiding the officers and members in service projects, school activities, and meetings as well as facilitating the new member selection process and coordinating the Induction Ceremony.
