I believe that every relationship is as unique as the people in it. Whether you're just starting out together, having trouble adjusting to a big change, or have run into a challenging situation, I'm here to help. Sometimes no matter how much partners love each other, they can fall into dynamics that damage trust and connection. When things get off track, each person has the ability to reestablish a deep and loving connection -- it can just take a little help breaking free of those negative patterns. In this busy world, it is important to take scheduled time to focus on and strengthen your relationship and it would be my privilege to help create that space for you.I primarily use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I appreciate how this model follows a proven framework for creating and reinforcing a higher level of communication with one another. Based on the science of attachment and connection, this model will help partners understand their patterns and start to respond differently to one another. The EFT success rate with couples who complete therapy has not been matched by any other model of couples therapy. I am excited about working with all relationships including members of the LGBTQ+ community and those in non-traditional relationships such as consensual non-monogamy and kink. Recently, I graduated from Capella University with an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a member of several professional organizations including the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), several AAMFT special interest groups, and Division 44 of the American Psychological Association (Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity). My experiences with EFT include membership in the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy and ICEEFT, and completion of EFT Externship training. I am currently enrolled in Emotionally Focused Therapy Core Skills training.
