I am currently responsible for the research and creation of content for the website, which can range from complex news topics, entertainment, lifestyle and unique content which requires research. I construct these articles with user engagement and SEO in mind.I also contribute to the magazine with articles as required, as well as accompanying images. I worked closely with the editor-in-chief on theme, article content, structure and also acquiring appropriate permissions for the images used. This piece was edited down due to space constraints, but was published in full on the website. I work closely with the editor-in-chief and digital strategist in order to co-ordinate the articles and content, as well as creating competitions to create interest in the website and magazine.I also work closely with the digital content strategist, analysing article performances and KPIs so we can adjust strategy accordingly. I also manage social media, which not only consists of the posting of website articles to increase user engagement, but also the sharing and posting of relevant images and content. I am responsible for maintaining a healthy level of new likes and user feedback on Facebook, Hootsuite and Twitter, alongside Bitly, to ensure a high level of engagement. My content and suggestions for the direction of the website and it’s articles, alongside the feedback received from the rest of team, has helped drive page views up and improved length of stay per visitor. The bounce rate has also improved since this change in direction.I was also the key driver, creator and planner for the official Pride Life Awards 2015. I was responsible for creating the strategy, the timeline as well as plans for advertising and marketing. I worked with the Brand Marketing manager to create a marketing campaign that would generate engagement and feedback from users.

The ability to work quickly, efficiently but also effectively is key to this role, as I play a vital role in the smooth running of the website and social channels. This role has given me great improvement to my time management skills as well as working under pressure. Every day I research the latest news in the gaming industry, and choose the most interesting and engaging pieces for our readers. I write with a creative style and voice to help give our website it's own identity.I also create daily video content for the Youtube channel, which is fueled by the latest news in the industry, tips from PR contacts and original content.I'm also responsible for manning the social media pages for RedGamingTech, including Twitter, Facebook and the Youtube channel. I post content on a regular basis, letting users know of our current content and also discussing hot issues that would drive engagement on our posts. A key part of social media interaction is talking regularly with our viewers via our social media channels, both to increase loyalty and to gather viewer feedback. Managing the community and communicating with them, as well as providing engagement content on our various social media channels is key to both attracting new users and keeping our current users entertained. My duties help work with and review products for AMD, Bitdefender and other major players in the tech industry. Using promotional material supplied by them, combined with review samples, myself and the rest of the team then creates official reviews. My role is of delegation, communication and of course reviewing the work is vital. Another key element of this role is communicating with developers, from the large companies such as Electronic Arts and Ubisoft to the much smaller indie run teams. A clear, professional manner is vital, as well as good communication skills and knowledge of the field.

Main duties included assisting with the creation and management of the website, where we worked closing with Vbulletin 4, CMS, and FTP services. I was also responsible for the writing of content for the website, including daily articles and social media content. My writing work was key to generating interest and views on the website, alongside the video content viewable on Youtube and embedded within the site.I, alongside a small team of content creators, created high quality video content for the Youtube channel. This, alongside the written content, was the main driver of viewer traffic towards the website. Administration duties such as creating reports for our records with the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, which required a high amount of detail and accuracy so as to not present incorrect figures when trying to calculate website growth, and the like. Required the use of programs such as Adobe Photoshop to create bright, clear and eye grabbing graphics for use on the website. This included everything from the main website banners, to buttons and other such small details. Managed the promotion of the website through various social networking platforms, including Facebook and Youtube. My main role here was not only to communicate with our followers, but also to generate user interest and engagement for the website as well as backlinks.
