Author of first children's book, Jesse Unleashed, released summer 2019, for children ages 4-9. Book won national award, Story Monsters Approved, through Story Monsters Inc., for excellence in children's literature in Family Matters category (New Pet) as judged by industry leaders and children. Appearances and book signings at Barnes and Noble Houston, pet stores and bakeries, special events, book fairs, and school visits. Wrote creative curriculum for elementary students 4-5th grades in creative writing and instructed students using original curriculum. Instructed students using hands-on, stimulating, exciting techniques to aid in writing process. Developed thematic units for students to have a focus point for writing, including a unit on poetry which included teaching forms of many poems and students creating poetry books of their own pieces. Taught art to 4-5th graders including basic color wheel, painting, drawing, sculpture, clay, crafting, and seasonal projects in a fun, nurturing environment in which all art was valued, from beginner to advanced artists.

Wrote hands-on, creative, innovative language arts, writing, and reading curriculum for 4-5th grade private school teachers to teach. Helped teachers instruct students original curriculum which enabled students a hands-on experience in the language arts.

Taught all subjects to self contained fourth grade class. Then, taught 4 years all fourth graders in Language Arts/Writing using creative, hands-on approach. Taught 4 years fourth grade writing to prepare students for the writing portion of standardized test. Maintained 100% pass rate of all students on writing/language portion of test. Received 3 grants/money that was used in class based on being recognized by the district for creative teaching. Asked by superintendant to instruct teachers districtwide in creative techniques so taught workshops for HISD Staff Development Department on weekends while teaching at Roberts Elementary full time. Voted "Teacher of the Year" by colleagues at Roberts Elementary.
