I am a faculty member in St. Kate's Associate Degree Nursing program. I coordinate and develop simulations, as well as formal lab learning activities in the Nursing Applied Learning Lab. I have also served as a clinical instructor for groups of five to eight students at St Joseph’s Hospital.

I serve as the primary care RN for patients on both medical and behavioral acute care units. I held a position in the float pool until April 2011, when I accepted a position on the inpatient orthopedic unit. I function as charge RN on an as needed basis. I also volunteer as a preceptor for undergraduate nursing students. I have collaborated on professional committees for tissue integrity and discharge follow up contact with patients.

I provided nursing care to both medical and surgical patients in an acute care setting. I managed the care of four to six patients by utilizing the nursing process to assess and diagnose patient conditions, plan and implement patient care, and evaluate patient outcomes. I worked on a patient care team by directing and delegating Nurses Aid and LPN tasks, and reporting and collaborating with charge nurses and physicians as appropriate.
