I am a lover of music and a lover of people and desire nothing more than to bring the two together. I believe every person has a creative voice and talent that yearns to find expression. Through play, experimentation, instruction and study, my student/client and I work together as partners to find the keys to unlocking and nurturing this naturally present potential. In my own study and play I have successfully recovered from Repetitive Strain Injury by retraining the way I move at the piano and drums (and other activities with the hand/arm) through the Taubman Approach, with the indispensable help and guidance of my own teachers. As I complete the certification process in the Taubman Approach, I use all the tools I have learned to teach my students proper and healthy mechanics of playing so as to find ease, pleasure, joy and expertise in the art and craft of playing the piano.As I continue to develop as an artist, musician, dancer, and composer, I find that my study and engagement in the creative process itself is the air I breathe - and as such, these necessities form the inspiration and rudder for my teaching career.
