Profile bio

About Amy Button

I am a real people person, and I love discovering, learning and sharing ideas and skills. An experienced teacher with over 13 years experience working in museums and schools with audiences from 4 to 94, I've worked with school children to soldiers, experts to novices. In my day job, I'm skilled in museum education, teaching, and writing learning materials. I've also done plenty of research, connecting with people and recording, editing and interpreting their stories for exhibitions, writing exhibition text, and event planning. I've championed equality and access in the museum sector.Outside, you'll find me learning new skills, making things from hats to homewares, and exploring culture, markets, and the world.I'm known for my persistence and passion, my commitment to doing good work with good people (especially if that work is hands-on, creative or meaningful), and always wearing a fabulous accessory! Particularly if I've made it myself...
