Turin, Piedmont, Italy

Supporting the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) on projects aimed at supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in collaboration with the World Health Organization and UNAIDS. My role involved contributing to the development of training and communications materials that covered topics such as results-based management, advocacy, brokering, systems thinking, and design thinking. Additionally, I provided administrative and logistical support for events related to capacity building activities targeting the Resident Coordinator (RC) system. Working closely with counterparts from WHO and UNAIDS, I helped develop tailored content for their respective organizations. I also conducted desk research on issues relevant to the RC system and country programming processes.Through this role, I gained a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration and communication across multiple stakeholders to achieve common goals. I also developed a strong appreciation for the values and mission of the United Nations and was committed to advancing them through collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

Supporting the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and UNDP Kenya in Strategic Communications following the 2022 Kenyan elections. Role involved reviewing project social media monitoring reports, drafting counter messaging content to hate speech and misinformation related to the electoral process and reviewing trending items on elections related social media platforms.

Research assistant to Professor Jean Tsai, analysing international policies regarding e cigarette and novel tobacco product regulation as part of a project for the Taiwanese Ministry of Health and Welfare. I also attended the November 2021 COP9 of FCTC as a civil society observer alongside my professor.

Working in the busy Emergency Department of a major London hospital as part of the Emergency Department multi-disciplinary team, providing a 24 hour reception and administrative service. This included booking patients into the department and dealing with GP/external queries, taking necessary actions to maintain national and local targets and acting as a source of advice, information and support in order to promote and ensure the provision of a positive patient experience.Also was part of the team during the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak in London, dealing with constantly shifting responsibilities, pathways and advisories.

Iringa, Tanzania

Leading a team of 12 18-27 year old UK and Tanzanian volunteers on a development project aiming to reduce youth unemployment by increasing basic business and entrepreneurship skills among youths in a rural village in Iringa Region. The project involved organizing classes and delivering the curriculum, planning and executing action days with village leadership as well as carrying out research within the community to help guide the project. I wrote a Youth Economic Survey report, which discussed the village background, access to education, economic opportunities and healthcare within the village and was translated into Swahili to be shared with local government officials and Raleigh. Duties as a Team Leader included team dynamic problem solving, logistical requests, as well as dealing with the team’s medical and personal issues.Achievements and Contributions- Facilitating and aiding volunteers in aiding their personal development in delivering the project successfully- Gathering experience working on the ground in an international NGO, with the organisational and budgetary restraints. - Working effectively in an international leadership team of three people, adapting and compromising for differing opinions and leadership styles.

Coordinated the logistics for various NGOs and corporations traveling to challenging and hazardous locations. My responsibilities included writing reports on evacuation routes during emergencies and devising logistical solutions to ensure safe travel.I was quickly promoted within the team after seven months, reflecting my growing responsibilities in the department and acknowledging my ability to write tailored medical risk and evacuation reports.One of my notable accomplishments was participating in a successful tender for a contract with the BBC. As part of this contract, I and my co-workers provided a rush 24-hour research service which required me to be on call for BBC reporters in the field. This experience has honed my ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.

Working in a small team to facilitate and manage a database of over 26,000 healthcare providers internationally to aid international assistance. Administrative duties included contacting providers, checking and entering banking details, data checking and entering, managing an inbox, responding to both internal and external clients. Duties expanded after a short time to include other work, including producing paid research reports for clients travelling overseas, overhauling mapping techniques for the department, solo map producing projects for reflecting the company's reach and Korean and Mandarin language assistance.
