Amy Williamson serves as the Business & Community Development Specialist for The Agency. In this role, Amy fosters the organization’s relationships with municipal and non-profit partners. In addition to meeting with municipal and community leaders, Amy works with businesses across Broome County to facilitate plans for expansion and retention by connecting businesses with The Agency programs or other grant opportunities through public and private funding sources. She also participates in and/or facilitates activities related to community development in alignment with the organizational strategic plan and other county-wide and regional planning initiatives. Amy has experience working at the local, state, and federal levels which has prepared her well to advance The Agency's economic vision for Broome County. Amy also manages the larger Leadership Alliance branding and marketing to promote the County's unique assets, economic opportunity, and high quality of life to external audiences while also nurturing the community's pride in place. A graduate of Binghamton University with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law and History with a minor in Spanish language, during her undergraduate years Amy held multiple local, state, and federal government internships which have prepared her well to both advance and promote a strong economic vision for her community. Coupled with her professional and volunteer experience serving on several different Boards of Directors and Committees within the community, Amy proves to be a strong advocate for Broome County.
