About Amy Coffman Phillips

Amy Phillips is The Conservation Foundation’s DuPage County Program Director where she supports, creates, and coordinates conservation programming tailored to community needs in DuPage County. She is responsible for coordinating stormwater outreach programming, the DuPage Nature Rx Coalition, and curates the DuPage Environmental Summit each year. Amy is a polished public speaker, program manager, leader, and strategic thinker. Amy joined TCF in 2017 as an educator and later moved into the Youth Education Program Manager position where she was instrumental in activating youth programming at the McDonald Farm location and helping all of their youth programs come out of COVID even stronger. Prior to joining TCF, Amy founded and led Biomimicry Chicago, a local node of the Global Biomimicry Network. She initiated and co-developed their Deep Roots initiative, which seeks to educate and empower all stakeholders in the built environment to learn from native ecosystems to solve critical human challenges. She has also worked as a Senior Technical Sustainability Consultant with Terrapin Bright Green in New York, and as an architect with various firms. She’s a builder of networks, facilitator of teams, program developer, and has a strong track record of connecting people to nature in ways that are meaningful to them. Amy holds advanced degrees in Biomimicry, Business Administration, and Architecture and was appointed to an interim role with the DuPage County Board for the fall of 2022.
