I serve as the project chemist for several long term monitoring projects as well as a task manager for a large client going through the CERCLA process. My responsibilities include data validation, laboratory coordination, project planning, QAPP writing, troubleshooting data issues, data presentation, report writing, sample collection, and cost estimation.

Deputy Contract Manager for START contract - assigned and oversaw all technical directives from client to ensure that all projects were executed accurately, on time, and under budget.Managed several federal facilities for the ROC contract - provided technical reviews of CERCLA proposals and reports to ensure that remedial work was carried out effectively and in compliance with federal requirements. Managed the MICE Service, which answers questions about SW-846 methods related to RCRA compliance.

Techlaw, Inc. provides full service consulting for RCRA and CERCLA activities conducted by the USEPA, including sampling, laboratory analysis, data assessment, and review of work plans, site investigations, and design reports.

In addition to project management duties, managed 2-3 project managers and 2 research assistants. Assigned projects and performed annual reviews.

Managed several large accounts for trace metals analysis, involving:• discussions with clients to develop meaningful sampling and analysis plan • communications with laboratory to keep project on track• comprehensive narrative reports highlighting important analytical issues and data interpretation• forecasting future work

Used chemical, microbial, and mathematical modeling tools to understand metal speciation and bioavailability, specifically mercury and zinc speciation. Chemical tools included ICP-MS, XAFS, and voltammetry. Performed experiments with whole-cell bacterial biosensors to probe bioavailable metals under various environmental conditions. Used MINEQL to model speciation.
