Coordinates and promotes programs designed to involve and motivate young people toward community service aligned with the American Red Cross mission. Leads the Youth and Young Adults team and implements Red Cross’ youth strategy by defining activities for Red Cross Clubs and other youth groups. Designs, recruits, and manages school-year and summer programs for 125 high-school-aged youth annually that focus on life skills development through hands-on cooking activities. Prepares curriculum materials, including lessons plans and daily agendas, for all classes at multiple program sites. Teaches over 120 life skills and hands-on cooking classes annually. Leads a team to develop a new program model for second year participants with community service and teaching focus. Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates program staff including program coordinator, program instructors, and interns. Recruits and trains 25 weekly volunteers each year.
