Currently an 4th year undergraduate medical student and first class honours graduate in a healthcare improvement BMSC which focused on developing an anaesthetic passport for children with additional support needs. I was thrilled to have received the sir James black award for outstanding achievement for my project. I have a role as treasurer for the Teddy Bear Hospital and as vice president of community outreach in a new society I helped with founding last year, the Dundee University Social Medicine Society.Throughout my studies I am carrying out supply work as support for learning assistant and playscheme worker in East Dunbartonshire Council. In order to gain more clinical experience I have taken on a role as an NHS bank health care support worker. I also run an Instagram based graphic design business @amydochertygraphics where I make personalised poster prints. I am a hard-working individual with a can-do attitude who is very career driven. I have experience working in a total communication environment and have gained skills in inclusivity. I aim to continue to seek employment or volunteer opportunities which will be valuable experience to support my studies.
