Undertaking my final year research project in the Caldwell laboratory in collaboration with the Tropea laboratory. Project title “examining the ability of IGF-1 to reduce the inflammatory potential of iPSC-derived astrocytes”

I received a summer scholarship from the HRB to carry out my own research project entitled “using stem cells to investigate the effects of IL-1a on astrocyte morphology, function and gene expression in Parkinson’s disease”. I carried out my project in the Caldwell laboratory in the Trinity institute of neuroscience in Trinity College Dublin.

Remote student intern in transfer pricing. Tasks included working on material master and SAP to monitor pharmaceutical products.

I worked as an OTC sales assistant offering excellent advice on health care and medications. I was responsible for taking care of the OTC counter and shop floor sales. I was the main point of contact for patients/customers. I encouraged customer loyalty by delivering a high standard of patient care. Because of my role here, I have an excellent knowledge and understanding of how most OTC medications work. I developed great communication skills and learned how to work in a high pressure environment. I demonstrate an ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Summer intern in the audit department. Tasks included drawing up accounts, “running” a fictional company in which I presented ideas to the board of directors and attending weekly technology workshops in the academy, focusing on the use of excel.

Student intern in transfer pricing using material master and SAP. In addition, I gained experience in the manufacturing , processing of tablets, particularly Eliquis and in quality control.
