I spent the first decade of my career as a permanent employee in media houses: the first half as the online editor of Runner’s World Magazine at Media24 Lifestyle Division and the second half as online editor of Woolworths TASTE Magazine at New Media. After the birth of my second child in 2020, I decided to go freelance - to not only allow myself the flexibility of balancing work and my new family, but to further my experience in other areas of content marketing. Since then, I have been a trusted, regular contributor to a number of content agencies, where I have managed websites, created content and managed online communities for a wide variety of brands across print and digital platforms.I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Life Sciences and Medical Honours in Nutrition & Dietetics, but my love for the written word took me down a different career path. My background in human sciences allows me to apply analytical, in-depth research to my work, and provide informative, clearly explained (and sometimes entertaining) content to the reader.I am a firm believer in throwing oneself entirely into what I do, and have, quite literally, climbed mountains for my brand. My passions outside of the content sphere include all things outdoors (wildlife, gardening, trail running and mountain biking), reading, cooking and baking - all squeezed in between running after my two small children.
