Performance manages a total of 256 clinical and administrative staff with accountability for a multi-million dollar budget, capital planning, service-line growth and development, joint venture partnering with Children’s Hospital of Colorado to build and develop a new state of the art facility, and engaging staff to improve morale, productivity, and enhance financial accountability. Leads by example to establish standards of excellence in employee engagement and patient satisfaction. Incorporated transfer of trust bedside shift reporting to engage patients in their care plan, thank you notes signed by staff and sent to each patient, eliciting week over week gains in patient satisfaction, and leadership rounding on patients to improve falls and pressure ulcers. Tier I employee engagement, mentors staff to peer to peer accountability, and daily staff rounding and safety huddle.

Managed three clinical areas. Responsible for budgets, staffing, capital planning, service line development, and recruitment and retention. Actively engaged staff and physicians to improve morale and patient satisfaction. Spear-headed system wide quality improvement initiative to decrease hospital acquired pressure ulcers and improve patient quality of life. Engaged in building unit practice council and relationship based care in all three units.

Performance managed a total of 69 clinical and administrative staff with accountability for a multi-million dollar budget, capital planning, and construction of a new state of the art delivery unit to accommodate over 1700 deliveries annually. Recognized needs and engaged an undervalued night shift staff to improve morale and productivity. Led by example and honed standards of excellence in the delivery of patient care. Incorporated patients into the healthcare process through the implementation of leadership and patient satisfaction rounding in addition to bedside shift reporting. Applied Studer principles, elicited feedback, improved communication and addressed concerns in a timely manner resulting in continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores.
