I am the "super user" and system administrator for Greenway PrimeSuite in our office. My responsibilities include user maintenance and training, creation and maintenance of templates and vocabulary both on the practice management and clinical portion of the software, and addition and maintenance of system codes. I also perform various reporting functions, and help with workflow management.

I am responsible for regular maintenance of patient accounts, including posting of all insurance payments, along with weekly/monthly billing cycles. I am also responsible for all credentialing and contracting with area hospitals and provider organizations, as well as insurance contracts for our providers. I manage a small staff of employees who perform bookkeeping duties and claims entry and resolution work.

In the area of patient care, I was responsible for the initial work-up of patients in preparation for their visit with one of our providers. I was also responsible for providing any assistance/equipment necessary during the course of the visit. Work-up duties included height, weight and temperature readings, finger sticks, and various lab duties such as CBC's, urinalysis, and various testing for acute illness. Duties also included knowledge of pediatric protocols, and the ability to use those protocols in phone triage.

Duties included submission, correction, appeal and resolution of medical claims.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

Responsible for all aspects of patient care in the office, including the patient intake and vitals, as well as assisting in office visits and procedures; skills include urinalysis, urinary catheterization, bladder ultrasounds, simple CMG/LPP testing, and minor surgical assistance with vasectomies, cystoscopies, and urethral dilations. I was also responsible for all in-office scheduling of patients, as well as surgical scheduling and pre-authorization of all hospital procedures, and maintenance of the physician's daily schedule.
