Graduate Intern in Clinical Placement providing individual psychotherapy to both adolescents and adults. Specializes in the following areas: behavioral/mood changes, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment/transitions to/from college, relationship strain/issues, eating concerns/self-esteem/body image, and a host of other mental health services.

As a Psychometrist, Amy works hands on with patients, administering Neuropsychological and Psychological assessments, as well as scores and interprets the assessments into report format. Participate in therapy sessions under the supervision of Dr. W. Steven Saunders. Provide independent medical evaluations for patients in inpatient rehabilitation facilities, nursing home settings, skilled and assisted nursing facilities, as well as for surgery clearance. Participate in forensic evaluations; including, but not limited to, jail evaluations, probation and pre-trial clients, and sex offender evaluations. Participate and facilitate parenting coordination, psychological evaluations with a parenting index component, parenting plans, and in-home studies. Work directly with Probation Officers to serve and facilitate therapy and assessments for the United States Court probation and pre-trail clients. Follow strict protocol in invoicing and providing additional services for all US probation clients. Oversee Family Stability Services, offering rent and utility assistance to qualified ALICE candidates; lead a team of volunteers to perform phone intake interviews and pre-qualify potential recipients for assistance; collaborate with vendors (utility providers and landlords) to establish a process to deliver assistance to qualified ALICE recipients. Manage a budget for services and work closely with the Bookkeeper to stay within budget. The Case Manager trains and supervises Social Work Interns and volunteers as a Task Supervisor. The Case Manager is also responsible for the proper handling and retention of all documentation based on the requirements of each individual grant received.• Advocates on behalf of clients and families for services, basic needs, and other related issues. • Composes or prepares correspondence, case notes, narrative and technical reports, notifications, and related documents using computer-based applications• Conduct comprehensive, client-centered social work activities in accordance with best practices.• Conducts community and home visits (if needed) related to client needs; Provides follow-up and monitors service delivery and care environments.• Stay abreast of community resources and procedures for referring clients to appropriate resources• Facilitates case consultation for client situations.• Provides crisis prevention, intervention, and supportive counseling as needed. • Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.• Due to the leadership role United Way is called upon to play in the community, particularly during times of crisis, it is the expectation that all United Way staff will be fully engaged in the organization's crisis plan and response efforts.
