• Supervises use of practice management software to maintain patient demographics, and correct coding using ICD-10 codes. • Manages eligibility verification and insurance preauthorizations for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances, working with practitioners, doctors and rehabilitation facilities. • Oversees processing of daily billing and application of payments and adjustments to patient accounts. • Discusses patients’ medical necessity/insurance requirements with practitioners to achieve maximum reimbursement and maintain accurate billing practices; discusses financial arrangements with patients.• Responsible for all accounts receivable and accounts payable; processes daily deposits; maintains three bank accounts with QuickBooks. • Creates monthly projection report of cash collection; coordinates daily operations of clinical and nonclinical staff of the Practice; ensures timely delivery of devices to enable billing and collections.• Coordinates patient appointments and deliveries, patient flow in and out of office, ensuring a satisfactory patient and referral source experience. • Monitors and evaluates workflow and productivity of staff to ensure maximum efficiency; conducts staff performance reviews and implements corrective action when appropriate. • Proactively develops policies and strategies to improve existing systems when necessary. • Pre-empts and/or resolves complex staffing management, financial and practice issues.• Maintains facility and practitioner accreditation with ABC (the American Board of Certification) and all company insurances including liability, disability, unemployment, worker’s compensation and employee medical.• Ensures appropriate and timely credentialing and recredentialing with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companies. • Initiates and prepares written and oral correspondence. • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of billing and other operational skills
