Something I value about humanity is our ability to grow and to foster growth. I truly feel that my entire work history is centered around fostering the growth of those that I worked with. As a healthcare provider it was my mission to help adults understand how their bodies work and to teach them ways to invest in their own health to live a more pain free life. As an elementary educator, I now foster the learning and curiosity of young minds. I believe that my own natural desire to know how and why, positions me perfectly to help others to also understand the how and why. One of my greatest strengths as a professional is my ability to build strong relationships with those I work with, as well as my ability to be flexible and adjust my teaching to the needs of my learners. Age does not matter to me, as I have discovered that it is simply the people I like and it brings me great joy to help others understand the world around them. As a professional, I am continually seeking opportunities to grow and foster my own skills so that I can be more effective with those that I work with. I strive to be data informed and to use that information to further my ability to teach effectively. I am the epitome of, if it's not working, stop and try something different. Each group of learners will come with their own needs and it is important for me to be fluid in my teaching and to not try to fit all learners in the same mold. Every person is capable of learning and deserves the chance to learn.
