In 2013 I co-founded Hiro + Wolf and AAARVEN. Both businesses have been inspired by mine and my business partner, Bee Friedmann's shared love of animals, handicrafts and a desire to support artisans in the UK, India and Africa. Over the past eight years Bee and I have taken both brands from initial concept into thriving businesses now selling worldwide through our online store and network of stockists, in addition to our two physical retail stores based in London and Margate.Discovering artisans that fit our ideals for aesthetics, quality and ethics is a challenge and a delight which has taken Bee and I to remote parts of the world. I take great pleasure in educating customers with the stories of the people behind our designs. Seeking out treasures in hard to find places and designing in collaboration with our incredible network of makers is my biggest inspiration.In my role as Creative Director I am responsible for designing and developing seasonal collections of jewellery, pet accessories and homewares. Working to strict ethical standards with our groups in the UK, Africa and Kenya our collections empower women and help to keep traditional craft techniques alive and relevant.
