About Amy Fleuriot-Reade
In 2013 I co-founded Hiro + Wolf and AAARVEN. Both businesses have been inspired by mine and my business partner, Bee Friedmann's shared love of animals, handicrafts and a desire to support artisans in the UK, India and Africa. Over the past eight years Bee and I have taken both brands from initial concept into thriving businesses now selling worldwide through our online store and network of stockists, in addition to our two physical retail stores based in London and Margate.Discovering artisans that fit our ideals for aesthetics, quality and ethics is a challenge and a delight which has taken Bee and I to remote parts of the world. I take great pleasure in educating customers with the stories of the people behind our designs. Seeking out treasures in hard to find places and designing in collaboration with our incredible network of makers is my biggest inspiration.In my role as Creative Director I am responsible for designing and developing seasonal collections of jewellery, pet accessories and homewares. Working to strict ethical standards with our groups in the UK, Africa and Kenya our collections empower women and help to keep traditional craft techniques alive and relevant.

In addition to product development I am responsible for the overall creative direction of the AARVEN brand. Having the opportunity to travel to meet our makers and continually expand my knowledge of design and production across multiple disciplines is what I love the most about my role.Our flagship store is located in the creative seaside town of Margate. Cyclodelic was the first cycle fashion brand to breakthrough into mainstream retailers, launching through Topshop's flagship store on Oxford Street and later stocked in Harrods and cycling concept stores worldwide. Designed and made in London using innovative, technical materials Cyclodelic's collection of women's cycling accessories and apparel gained a cult following with clients including TV personality Dawn Porter and collaborations with designers including Zandra Rhodes and Eley Kishimoto. Started with the aim of promoting cycling to women as a stylish and fun activity the brand was regularly featured in the press and led to interviews on BBC TV and Radio, The Alan Tichmarsh Show, The Guardian, Zest Magazine and Women's Fitness.
