My role is within adult and children's health and nutrition in Nottinghamshire. It includes delivery of DESMOND group sessions, GP clinics, home visits and training of other healthcare professionals. I see a variety of people with health needs including coeliac disease, diabetes, nutrition support and children with cow's milk protein allergy and failure to thrive.

ENlighten is a nutrition, exercise and support group for mums. ENlighten's aim is to encourage mums to make positive changes to their lifestyles during their attendance. Although a group session, the support is tailored to the needs of the individual and provides help via email and telephone consultations in between the weekly sessions. ENlighten is successful since it provides mums the confidence and opportunity to put their health first.

Working within community and acute settings providing nutrition support including parenteral nutrition, enteral tube feeding and oral nutrition support. Key areas of inpatient working are critical care, surgery and Stroke, treating patients from a wide range of disease states including oncology, surgical and medical gastroenterology, and chronic neurological disorders.Delivery of the Southern Derbyshire Home Enteral Feeding service. Providing support, expertise and monitoring for all enteral tube fed patients within the Southern Derbyshire locality. This involves visiting tube fed patients within their homes, in nursing homes, at clinic appointments and telephone support.BDA Trade Union representative for the Dietetic Department.Lecturing medical students and junior doctors. Educating healthcare professionals at a local and national level.Student dietitian training and mentoringMultidisaplinary working with Consultants, General Practitioners, junior Doctors, Speech and Language Therapists, Pharmacists and Nursing staff.

Provided dietetic care for: Inpatients on gastroenterology and respiratory wards, including nutrition support of patients with conditions such as liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, eating disorders, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and motor neurone disease. Outpatient clinics providing treatment of surgical and medical gastroenterology patients including coeliac disease and bariatric patientsDietetic support with in a multidisaplinary paediatric diabetes clinic.Role within student training, catering and teaching of other healthcare professionals.
