My Goal is to find a work from home position where I collaborate with an intellectual and creative team, contributing skills gained from my academic work experience as a biochemistry professor and STEM outreach & assessment staff. At Total Experience Learning (TExpL) at Albright College I mentored the youngest and brightest scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs in Berks County. Our goal was to "uncover the genius that resides in every learner." I have program assessment expertise from years of assessment faculty committee leadership, and one year as a staff assessment lead. At TExpL as the program assessment lead, I created assessment instruments, wrote IRBs, and reported on data for grant applications, stakeholders, and publications.My fellowship in Responsible Conduct of Research and research ethics, and my experience as the Chemical Hygiene Officer at Judson University prepared me for jobs involving ethics and safety regulations. Teaching safe and ethical conduct of research is not an option, it is an important responsibility. My research expertise is biochemistry, especially biochemical parasitology. I introduced young students to a non-human infective mosquito parasite Crithidia fasciculata. Its pathogenic cousins cause nasty diseases such as Chagas' disease, Leishmaniasis, and African Sleeping Sickness, which infect some of the poorest communities in the world.
