As a tenured faculty member of the UW-Madison's Division of Extension, I oversee the education and outreach for adult programs, conduct community-based research and recruit/enhance civic participation.

Primary areas of focus include: community development, leadership, organizational capacity-building, and many, many other duties as assigned.

As academic staff responsible for providing bilingual educational support to UW-Extension's program efforts conducted in three Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas (NRSA), I worked to identify, recruit and develop neighborhood leadership necessary to complete NRSA grant goals. Capacity-building and program design/ implementation in support of researched-based, continuing education.

Master’s Certificate Program of International Law: Specific to International Development and Complex Emergencies. Independent Research Project and Fieldwork: Tibetan Democracy and Education; Linkages and Legacies. Conducted field research of democratization’s impact upon institutional capacity of Central Tibetan Administration by performing interviews with government officials and refugees; incorporation into graduate research project.

Implementing community education programs; community health initiatives, vocational and gender development through successful collaborations of agency partnerships. I also performed needs assessments and collaborating with agencies/partners to create sustainable impacts. I worked in a case management capacity to 30+ resident and immigrant clients; counseling, legal advocacy, problem-solving. Administering presentations to diverse groups in English and Spanish. Composing newsletter in Spanish, I also contributed to the data collection and analysis tracking client outcomes, successfully receiving at least one statewide grant serving under-represented audiences.

Undergraduate degree emphasizing community/interpersonal relations. Senior Research Project: "Communicating Trust: Qualitative Study of Foster Families and Attachment."By employing qualitative research methods to conduct, transcribe and analyze interviews with foster parents; compiling/presenting research findings of year-long project for university advisers and professors.
