• Building and maintaining relationships with Surgery and support office colleagues• Supporting established practices with training requirements and new starter inductions• Managing new surgery openings-delivering team training, liaising with internal/external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of practice equipment & stock• Regularly attending team meetings to provide updates and share best practice• Working alongside the Operations Managers to provide training and support to over 100 surgeries and in doing so encourage business growth and colleague engagement • Providing support during disciplinary hearings/ grievances/investigations• Coaching surgery colleagues in various areas- customer service, handling dealing with customer complaints, head nurse skills etc.• Planning, organising and executing my own schedule• Advising the Operational team on clinical matters on a day-to day basis

*Producing and rolling out Health Plan Training across the group*Planning,organising and running training events across the UK and Northern Ireland*Encouraging and Supporting Health Plan growth*Providing day-today support to surgeries on an on-going basis*Planning, roll out and management of Health plan incentives*Assisting with analysis and alignment of plans across the group*Recording and reporting plan sales

Responsibilities:*Approving vet treatments over £100 for individual pets (Including approving referrals, post mortems and lab fees outside of normal tests)*Monitoring vet bills on an on-going basis to try to understand and control the escalating costs without compromising the pets before profits value of the company*Analysing the top 10 stores vet bills each period and Managing veterinary care budget* liaising with the Companion Care vet group and developing the relationship between Pets at Home and Companion Care *Helping to develop new preferred treatment protocols and adapting the existing ones as required*Develop relationships with other corporate vet groups*Develop relationships with stores independent vets *Watching for trends, disease outbreaks, etc. And from there liaising with Pet Supply Manager*Mitigating store colleague risk on paid outs- for example implementing electronic payment accounts with veterinary practices to avoid colleagues carrying cash from store to vets*Networking with veterinary professionals through conferences, seminars and CPD*Researching and developing new approaches/future strategies in relation the veterinary care*Liaising and working alongside the procurement team to source, negotiate discount and implement relevant products for store use in-house (i.e. items not for re-sale)*Cross functional support of store best practice
