As a member of the European Commercial Leadership Team, I am responsible for leading the Fluidigm Marketing strategy and tactics in Europe, Middle East and Africa, to achieve the strategic and financial business objectives in our Proteomics and High-Throughput Genomics Business Segments.

Support Sales and customers in the distribution channels of Europe, Middle East and Africa. Objectives are to grow Fluidigm business through the use of our regional partners, increasing our install base and supporting customers in the Single Cell Genomics and Production Genomics markets.

Manage the home office-based Technical Support Applications Team, which provides training and support for Fluidigm's nanofluidic tecnhology and relevant applications including Single Cell Gene Expression and transcriptome sequencing, SNP Genotyping and NGS targeted sequencing preparation. Ensure adequate training across all of Fluidigm's applications for Field Application Specialists worldwide. Communicate and collaborate across departments to on board new applications and product lines as well as provide quality support for existing ones.

Supervise team members of Fluidigm's Application Support Team, which provides training and support for Fluidigm's nanofluidic technology and its supported applications. These include Single Cell Gene Expression and mRNA sequencing, SNP Genotyping, and NGS targeted resequencing library preparation. Assist with product training, technical presentations, and support both internally to other members of the organization and externally with prospects and customers.Manage Fluidigm's demonstration laboratory, which includes monitoring the demonstration experimental queue, assigning experiments to team members as needed, and supervising over experimental design and execution to ensure quality demonstration data.

Provide direct customer training and support for Fluidigm's nanofluidic technology and relevant applications. Includes phone/email support, hands on customer training post-sale, and pre-sale customer seminar presentations. Execute experiments in Fluidigm's demonstration laboratory to provide high quality experimental data on Fluidigm's platforms to potential customers.

Continue to be involved in several collaborative projects relating to female fertility/infertility within UCSF as well as with other institutions.Work on independent research projects related to the principal investigator’s research in reproductive health, with special emphasis on the uterus and endometrium, as well as early implantation events.

-Act as an assistant to research projects in the lab that study the human endometrium as it relates to pregnancy and fertility.-Handle the laboratory responsibilities of collaborative efforts with other researchers and colleagues, which include RNA isolation, microarray sample preparation, microarray and real time PCR assays and data analysis, quality control, and sample record keeping/storage.-Perform the lab manager’s duties, which include assisting other researchers,making sure that the lab is in compliance with regulations put forth by the University, handling and maintenance of the cell cultures in the lab, andmaintenance of the laboratory equipment.
