💫*Leading* As a Head of Faculty and Head of Department I have gained experience in strategic planning, team building, board room presenting, appraisals, budgeting, recruitment and I have worked to tight deadlines and challenging targets. I have a proven track record of leading as a Head of Department. I have also been a leader in a rapidly improving and challenging academy, tasked with improving what were some of the worst Humanities results in the country, bringing them above national expectations. 👩🏼‍🎓*Lecturing and online training* Over the years I have mentored several trainee teachers and completed my Master degree specialising in the relationships between mentors and trainees. I started up a university higher education Geography PGCE course and delivered this successfully to cohorts of trainee teachers. I planned 120 hours of lecturing material and wrote, marked and moderated M-Level assignments. As Director of Early Career Teachers in an Outstanding secondary academy, I was responsible for trainees' placements and delivered training to 26 ECTs and mentors for their first ECF year as an online Facilitator. In this role I ensured my sessions were engaging and adapted to suit the needs of the cohort. I am currently completing my NPQLTD.🌎🥾*Interests* I love the outdoors and hiking, paddle boarding and camping. I am a Duke of Edinburgh bronze and Silver leader and assessor. I have travelled extensively in central and South America, Europe and Southeast Asia and this year I travelled round Europe in our motorhome with my family. In my spare time I paint.
