Amy Blake, MD, MA is a dermatologist, dermatologic surgeon, and skin cancer specialist at Georgia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center. Dr Blake completed her dermatology residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served one-year terms as the Resident Director of Leadership Development & Outreach and as Co-Director of the Cosmetics Curriculum. She also served as Resident Leader of the department’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Committee and pioneered several new DEI initiatives. Dr Blake subsequently completed a year-long fellowship in Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology, including intensive training in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery, at Georgia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center.She is board certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.Prior to obtaining her MD, Dr Blake earned an MA in international affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and served for 6 years as an intelligence officer at the Central Intelligence Agency. Dr Blake has additional special interests in the intersection of the humanities and medicine; medical education; leadership and professional development; and DEI initiatives both within and outside of medicine.
