Working alongside Auckland International Airport to deliver a multi-billion dollar investment into the future of travel. The Auckland Integrated Terminal Development Program Involvement includes a new Domestic Processor which will bring domestic travel and international travel together under the same roof via an expansion at the eastern end of the existing international terminal building. The DP project involves design, construction, with all apron and gate lounge facilities, a new baggage handling system, domestic arrivals reclaim hall, expanded security to meet latest security standards, a new domestic headhouse including airside dwell and retail provisions, two new airlines lounges, and an Eastern forecourt. The completed hub will occupy ~70,000 sq. m of space, with a total of 12 new fixed link bridges to the east and west side of a new Pier. My involvement has been in both Base Build and Interior teams through concept, preliminary, developed, and detailed design phases.• Architectural Designer involved in the project from the conceptual phase through to detailed design in both Architectural Base Build and Front of House Interior Teams.• Gained knowledge of the aviation market sector's unique challenges for planning, design, and regulation. • Engaged with Airport Stakeholder groups and have an understanding of their unique and individual requirements.• Handled all delegated tasks, including concept and criteria related to traffic flows and space requirements of terminal building activities and translating stakeholder operational requirements into architectural design and planning.
