Oversaw the state's efforts to facilitate and promote motion picture, television and commercial production. In addition to administering California’s Film & Television Tax Credit Program, responsible for a wide range of support services and coordinated with all levels of state, local, and federal governments to create film-friendly guidelines, reduce costs, and eliminate restrictions to grow and encourage production throughout California.Under my leadership, California established its competitiveness as a production locale amid intense global competition. Shepherded the legislative passage and implementation of the state’s uniquely targeted first tax credit program, providing nearly $4 billion in production incentives. Reduced red tape and launched a series of successful marketing initiatives.Acted as key liaison between filmmakers, producers, studios and unions working in a variety of jurisdications with local, state and federal agencies. Maintained key working relationships with the state legislature and the Governor’s office.

Managed Penny Marshall's production company under various studio deals including Sony and Universal; line-produced feature films ranging from $3 million to $70 million-dollar budgets. In charge of pre-production planning – budgeting, selecting primary shooting locations, and hiring department heads and all key production personnel; oversaw post-production and delivery of company releases.
