Coordinating and delivering Care Home Friends and Neighbours: Intergenerational Linking Programme, in partnership with My Home Life England. The programme connects primary schools and community youth organisations with their local care homes.. The project aims to enhance children and young people’s active citizenship and leadership skills, as well as, make a real difference to the lives of older people living in care homes. My role also incorporates work for The Linking Network (TLN). TLN run a national Schools Linking programme in 28 Local Authorities. Schools Linking brings together children and young people from different geographical, ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds for a year-long programme of work. Through games, activities and play, children explore identify, celebrate diversity, build communities and champion equality. Schools and teachers are supported with their linking programme through training and classroom resources

Year 4/5 Teacher with TLR for leading the Faculty of Arts and Music • Coordinated a large number of peripatetic music teachers, musical groups, hymn practice, assemblies and music exams• Chaired meetings to update staff on developments in the Arts• Led staff training sessions about new schemes of work• Led the school in their journey towards achieving the ‘Artsmark Award’ which is an award that celebrates the Arts in school and provides schools with a framework to plan, develop and evaluate the creativity of Arts across the curriculum. I worked together with other subject coordinators and members of the Senior Leadership Team, to develop an action plan for the award. I then took responsibility for supporting staff in planning, arranging for additional visitors and projects and liaising with other agencies and schools.• Delivered training sessions to trainee teachers about music in the primary classroom as part of the School Direct programme at the University of Nottingham and the Westerton School Direct Partnership.
