Contract Writing Coach for 200+ professional, graduate-level students. The Center for Writing Excellence assists students and faculty at the Air War College (AWC) to improve student and faculty writing. Prior to its opening, worked collaboratively with co-tutor and AWC staff to build on existing Writing Center Theory and Research to design best practices and administrative procedures to meet the needs of the college and its faculty- student population. Applied professional tutoring theory and best practices based on Writing Center Theory and adult-learning theory, professional writing scholarship, and other theoretical frameworks adapted to meet the research and writing needs of professional military graduate students. Mission also included presentations to faculty and staff to provide operational and theoretical overview of the Center’s mission and practices. Collaborated with AWC Assessment Team to devise appropriate tools (survey and interview questions) for gathering qualitative and quantitative data for future operations and research.
