Graduate teaching assistant for Fundamentals of Electronic Circuits. Provide supplemental assistance to students in learning the material, and support to the educational team with grading, lesson plans and other necessities.

Enhancing Engineering Pathways (EEP) is a program where we reach out to middle school and high school girls to give them hands on experience to introduce them to basic engineering concepts. The girls meet at the Northern Illinois University Naperville location where we provide them with hands on tasks such as littleBits, where the girls are able to connect magnetic pieces together to make circuits to complete a variety of task. Another way that we have introduced the girls to circuits is through wearable bracelet and headbands. In addition to these activities, the program also provides the girls with guest speakers from the industry in an open conversation format to provide the girls with tips and advice on what it is like being a female engineer. As a mentor I get to engage with these girls, get their minds thinking and help them to complete their tasks and get them excited about engineering.

In accounting I was trained to perform the daily tasks that were required to balance all registers that the store is responsible for and prepare final reports on the results of the day. These tasks include printing various reports and putting the information into excel documents to made any necessary adjustments to the totals, or to alert me if there was any money or items of monetary value that are not accounted for. In addition I took inventory daily on items such as lottery tickets and postage stamps, and prepared two deposits. Part of my position was correcting any mistakes that may have occurred on the registers from the previous day along the way. Once the books were balanced this concluded my day in the accounting office. I have been employed with Hy-Vee since August 2014.
