 I was Senior staff in charge of customer service for three stores for the first year I was employed, the next two years specializing in Customer Service, and for the remainder of my time, working directly with one store running the Guest Services/Administration department, as well as all the operations needs of the store. Filled in as management for the sales department when the Store Manager was off, including during store promotions and events, with regards to closing sales and staffing issues. As senior staff, I helped with training new staff, opening of new stores, troubleshooting, and ongoing training within the company. I dealt with customers in person and through a call centre for everything from processing sales, taking payments, placing purchase orders, following up on orders, backorders, scheduling delivery, damaged product, service and parts requests, and reselections.  Created and implemented new policies and procedures to make the company run more efficiently, such as training manuals and daily task sheets. I was on a team of three responsible for yearly inventory counts and reconciliation.  I alone took care of all inventory adjustments throughout the year for the three store locations.  I dealt directly with our distribution centers in Stoney Creek and Wisconsin for shipping product into Canada and out to customers.  I placed all stock orders for the three showrooms, new or replacement stock, as well as regular store office supply orders. I arranged all charitable donations for the Stoney Creek location. I supported two of the owners in a personal assistant role with tasks varying from travel plans to personal appointments, answering phone calls and responding to emails. Joint Health and Safety Committee Certified Member - Worker Representative as of December 2009, on the Health and Safety committee for 3 years prior.
