About Amy Mathieson
I am a motivated and skilled qualitative researcher with excellent communication skills, gained from varied work experience in health and well-being research. My career goal has always been to be involved in work that helps shape policy, practice and decision-making.I recently completed my PhD in Nursing, exploring the implementation of evidence-based practice. I was funded by the National Institute for Health Research and the President's Doctoral Scholar Award.I have an interest, and expertise, in Patient and Public Involvement, Ethnography, and qualitative research methods. I also have knowledge of, and some experience in, quantitative research techniques, including developing and administering survey, network analysis (using the software UCiNet), and SPSS and Stata basics.Specialities: conducting interviews and observations, analysing qualitative data using Nvivo, Atlas ti and MAXQDA, networking and building relationships, project management, communicating with a variety of audiences.
