I have recently moved to work in Travelodge within the City FM building, I thoroughly enjoy working here as I am constantly doing different things and learning new skills as I’m going. I took my previous experience from working in a call centre to working here and this has helped, and I feel I have improved even more. My role can change each shift as I might be on the phones or I could be doing focus reports or dealing with different contractors for each site which can be very interesting. Some of the responsibilities I have are to maintain good relationships with the hotels and contractors and dedicate time to get each task complete on time and be effective, which I feel is one of my strengths.

Last Year for 6 months I was an intern at Quiz clothing in their buying department. The 6 months were amazing as I was able to go every Friday for a full day and be able to help in the team doing many different tasks and learning what they do on a day-to-day basis. Some of my tasks were to help look for new trends on the market and then make slides on how each style would work in an outfit, another task was helping to separate the clothes that they got from suppliers into bundles so that they were ready for the photo-shoots. I also was able to under see some of the campaign they done with Samantha Faires which was very exciting as it was a secret campaign at first.

Working in Hugo Boss was a great experience as it was a chance to work in a high fashion brand and gain these extra skills and qualities of having this extra training working in a different pace of retail. some of the skills I achieved by working in Hugo Boss was having that 1-1 customer experience as most of these customers were spending a lot of money and I was able to spend more time with them finding out what they want. By working in Hugo boss by the end of my experience I felt more confident in profiling customers and knowing what they want from brief descriptions. Working in a team was also a great part of Hugo Boss as we had team targets as well as solo targets to meet each day so by helping each other and all working together it worked well. I also had the chance to help in merchandising and help my manager with what clothes were at the front of the store and how it was laid out and this was a great experience.

During my time with Benefit Cosmetics, I learned many new skills. Some of my duties and responsibility that I had to take on were different from other previous jobs I have had. As it is a cosmetic company it involves an intimate customer experience as it involves a one to one interaction between me and the customer. Some of the different experiences I have had since working with Benefit is how you interact with the customer as we must go out within the counter and bring customers back, before sitting them down and showing them different products that are suited to them and listening to what the customers wants while giving them the best experience you can. We also have targets to make such as daily, weekly and monthly and we get evaluated at the end of each month to see where our sales are at, but also to look at where we can improve.
