I am currently in the second year of a BSc Hons Biology degree at Lancaster University. I am most interested in topics such as Evolution and Biodiversity Conservation.After University I plan to work in the field of Ecology and Conservation. My key areas of interest are finding ways to tackle climate change through education and policy change and helping to preserve natural habitats for wildlife.I have experience volunteering as an Assistant Cub Leader (2018-present) which involves the development and provision of an exciting programme of activities for young people between the ages of 8-10. In this role I teach important skills to young people and help to develop their confidence in a range of environments. Through this role I have acquired great leadership and communication skills.At Lancaster University I am a member of the LEC Society, this allows me to attend talks and events focused on current environmental research outside of the scope of my degree and also provides the opportunity to meet like-minded peers. I am also a member of the LEC Netball and Edible Campus Societies.
