Dedicated to providing support, connection, and facilitation around trauma recovery and mental health, Survivors Path allows audiences to hear directly about living through and surviving trauma. In sharing the survivors’ journey, we hope to facilitate deeper dialogue and more significant support for them, their families, and their communities. Our team, comprised of mass-trauma survivors, share their trauma experiences, recovery, and coping and navigating their mental health. Just one picture of what mass trauma survival looks like, I address various topics, including "Parenting children from a trauma survivor’s “view,” and share intimate details and insights into surviving and confronting Columbine.Representing the trauma survivor community, I speak at conferences, academic institutions, and government/law enforcement agencies, and I regularly appear on T.V., radio, and print. Dedicated to creating a community for mass trauma survivors, this 501c3 was established by survivors of the 1999 Columbine mass shooting. Focused on connecting with other trauma survivors, The Rebels Project has created a safe environment for them to share their unique experiences and access resources and education surrounding the varying effects of their experiences. A small non-profit, I oversaw the organization's growth through fundraising and donor outreach. Cultivating relationships across local, state and national communities, I orchestrated annual giving campaigns designed to expand program awareness and generate funding to support ongoing programming. Interacting with corporate and individual donors to encourage ongoing contributions, I fostered long-term relationships that have contributed to the organizations growing reach. Mental health and counseling services offered to trauma survivors often run out before the end of the first year of recovery. However, the effects of trauma last much longer than a year. Living my life as a mass-shooting survivor, I knew that long-term effects (PTSD, Depression, Survivors Guild, suicidal ideation, etc.) often intensify by the time they reach the first anniversary of the traumatic event. This realization led me to introduce Project Journey, a program exclusively dedicated to post-trauma support. Designed to ensure survivors’ have access to long-term funding for mental health and counseling services, Project Journey provides financial support to survivors as they navigate their journey through recovery. ✴️ Generated financial contributions to fund counseling and mental health services for trauma survivors✴️ Researched and identified resources for survivors needing support services ✴️ Collaborated with community service providers, assisting in various ways to find housing and address other post-trauma needs

My recognition as a trauma survivor that leaving your child with someone other than a family member can create unsettling fear gave me the passion for creating a one-of-a-kind childcare resource for parents.Providing a safe and healthy environment so parents would have peace of mind when entrusting me with their children’s care, I custom-designed an in-home facility that offered dedicated spaces and unique experiences for children to grow and thrive.I developed a daily and weekly curriculum to stimulate, educate, and entertain. Facilitating Friday field trips to local attractions and hosting Marty Music and educational guests were among some of the enhanced experiences the children enjoyed. ✴️ Cared for primarily pre-school aged children 2 – 5✴️ Cared for multi-children families ✴️ Offered before and after school programs✴️ Oversaw between 5 – 10 children simultaneously✴️ Responsible for passing state requirements for child safety, food safety, and continuing education classes (30 hours of C.E.s annually)
