Moved from the Technology Specialist role to a Support Desk Technician role. While in this role I assisted in the creation of a new service desk which included the creation of new standard operating procedures, updating and adding documentation, the training of 3 new employees simultaneously within a short period of time, the increase of client satisfaction by 25% within a 2 month time period, and worked within dozens of different infrastructures and procedural environments.

While in my role as a Technology Specialist I worked with a team of 10 other technicians throughout the state to assist our clientele. My tasks were to support existing infrastructures, configure new infrastructures, troubleshoot all items technology related, and be the primary point of contact for multiple clients. I was able to work with each client directly to create new standard operating procedures based on their environments and specific needs; This ensured the level of service was met each time. New clients were being onboarded either monthly or bi-monthly, which entailed projects to remediate vulnerabilities within their environments and also set them along the standard that our company had set. My project tasks included the installation of new security appliances, the creation of VPNs, new segregated SSIDs for multi-tenant buildings, server stand-ups, and Office 365 migrations.

During my time at Great Lakes Health Connect I assisted with implementing an enterprise wide patch management policy and procedure to remediate vulnerabilities within the organization, implemented remote application management and created related documentation, assisted with remote management group policies, created a multitude of users within different programs, supported an industry specific application and dove into the processes and workflows, assisted the Security and Privacy Officer to remediate specific vulnerabilities (application and operating system related) within the network, assisted with rolling out a new antivirus solution to the organization workstations and servers, and created and improved the IT departments process for documentation and workflows.

During my time there I gained more knowledge of help desk systems, remote sites, hardware repair, Active Directory, Exchange 2010, a Citrix environment, ShoreTel phone systems, creating tool tips for customers and fellow IT personnel, and communication with users who had varying levels of technical knowledge.
