Daily duties would include preparing the restaurant for opening, such as preparing the salad, checking dates on stock, overseeing stock levels, defrosting what is needed for the day ahead and checking deliveries. Throughout the day, making myself available for staff and customers, filling in when staff need help, as well as dealing with any customer complaints and queries, answering the phone, taking take away orders over the phone and replying to emails. I ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety regulations and guidelines. Motivating staff and keeping morale high is incredibly important when I run a shift, whilst being able to fulfil my admin duties and make sure that front of house and back of house have everything needed for a smooth shift. I have experience in completing handover to other managers and I have the ability to understand what all different roles need to complete the shift as well as being able to complete basic tasks when needed such as: taking orders, running food, busking tables, restocking salad bars, daily housekeeping and preparing drinks/deserts in the bar area. Following strict daily timescales and company procedures, working well under pressure to complete all cases required in a day and going above and beyond to do what’s right for the customer whilst still following company procedures. Being a strong team player to get all cases completed, whilst taking personal responsibility for all cases that are under my name and defending the decision I have made on those cases, being able to make decisions quickly and follow through these decisions. Keeping up to date with system changes, and new procedures to follow when starting a case, remaining professional at all times and strictly following the confidentiality procedure of the company.
