My role at RE/MAX 100 Realty was to maintain documentation for several hundred real estate transactions annually and to assist in a variety of projects while ensuring that all deadlines were met. RE/MAX is one of the largest real estate companies in the world, operating an expansive franchise network throughout the United State and in 43 other countries. As a local Office Manager I was responsible for organizing and implementing activities for office employees, ensuring customer satisfaction and scheduling appointments.

The Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership St. Johns program strives to connect and develop leaders to help drive the success of our local economy as St. Johns County confronts the opportunities and challenges of today and tomorrow. This mission is what inspired me to come up with the theme for our class project, Engaging Leaders, Past, Present and Future. Our goal was to reengage former graduates and to promote the program to future participants. We successfully planned and implemented an annual luncheon. There were nearly 100 people in attendance and we raised enough money to provide three scholarships for future applicants. Not bad for a first year event!

After being hired as the Maintenance Coordinator at All American Air I was quickly promoted to Scheduling Supervisor where I worked diligently to schedule over 10,000 maintenance appointments per year. I worked closely with the management team to implement reporting that allowed us to work more efficiently and provide greater customer service.

At Mediware Information Systems I had daily interaction with 10-12 accounts across the country, balanced and prioritized the needs of all clients and provided quality assurance. As an Account Executive I worked closely with our data team to plan targeted communication materials in a variety of mediums: direct mail, email and website promotions. With the help of our software team I gained valuable product management skills and was able to triage client user feedback, issues and requests for additional software customization.

I began my career at The American Cancer Society (ACS) as Community Representative for St. Johns County. I managed three Relay For Life events and the Cattle Baron’s Ball for two years before being promoted to the Unit Executive Director for Clay, Baker and Putnam Counties. Being a volunteer-led organization, I quickly learned at ACS how to motivate volunteers and manage a limited number of staff members to achieve income development and cancer control goals. As a former volunteer of the organization myself, I also learned the value of active listening, relationship building and the importance of mission driven commitment.
