Within this newly formed Marketing Manager role with the Nuclear AMRC reporting into the Business Development Director, I collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development, tech groups, directors, and design to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies. Manage marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and created a marketing strategy for the team to understand our focus for the next 12 months and to fit within our budget allocation. I have developed and maintained strong relationships with external partners, including agencies and vendors. Oversaw website and optimisation efforts, collaborating with our web agency to ensure site performance and user experience. I can communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients and I understand the need for different communication techniques dependent on the audience. I currently manage a team of five marketing and events professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage HR functions such as hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee relations.

I took the move into financial services in 2020 and quickly learned financial services remotely during a pandemic. This role is client acquisition marketing of three areas of the business: SimplyBiz, Compliance First and SimplyBiz Mortgages. Reporting into the Marketing Director, my role is to generate leads using multi-channel campaigns to pass over to the sales team, but while working to a set of objectives and within budget. I oversee all three of the public facing websites ensuring they are relevant to key market trends and business objectives, updating for both better user experience and SEO. We have recently started using Hubspot for all our email campaigns, I have enjoyed learning the new platform for setting up campaigns and reporting to the senior managers on overall performance. I work with several departments across the business for the campaigns to ensure appropriate messaging is aligned to the propositions we are taking to market and to report back to senior management on performance. I’ve had to facilitate several digital events for prospects due to the pandemic, which would normally have been face-to-face.

This role progressed my career in Pendragon to lead a team of 12 direct reports and reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer. My team consisted of Marketing Leaders, Executives, Assistants and Graduates across both Evans Halshaw and Stratstone new car marketing. Within this role I oversaw the campaigns of group level marketing across both divisions to improve our new car sales and ultimately providing reporting to all levels of Directors in the business. I worked on financial planning for 11 of our Evans Halshaw brands and 7 Stratstone brands for 2020. This role used varied ways to increase and optimise our brand awareness of the two businesses. The coaching and training of the team was key to ensure they remain motivated and work to the best of their ability. This is something that I feel strongly about and motivates me when my team do well in their role and progress. I worked with many departments within the company, so communication and knowing the right way to talk to key stakeholders to discuss projects and reports is very important to ensure the right details are given and are taken in. This role developed on the key points in my previous role, just on a larger scale.

I worked on several different automotive brands. I worked closely on a day-to-day basis with the Evans Halshaw franchise Operations and dealership teams to provide marketing media and creative recommendations and support based on key business objectives. While liaising closely with the manufacturers I built up a good understanding of all the brand guidelines for each manufacturer which is essential in running compliant and productive marketing campaigns. Within my role I implemented and communicated franchise group marketing plans, ensuring activity is aligned to agreed marketing budgets and is not exceeded. I worked closely with an in-house graphic designer to generate artwork, adhering to franchise manufacturer marketing guidelines and standards. I was responsible for maintaining the franchise section of the website with relevant, up to date content via a CMS system. Also working with in house digital team to oversee and manage paid search, online display and social media campaigns and creating quality copy for the franchise pages on the website. In June 2017 I progressed further in this role by becoming a leader of 2 direct reports. I quickly learned HR procedures and ways to motivate a team not just myself.
