A nurse trying to bring change to healthcare that it so desperately needs, because it doesn’t need to be this way. I have worked in Med-Surg, Ambulatory/Outpatient Clinics, the Operating Room, NYS/county correctional lockup unit, and floated throughout hospitals. My past experience consists of working as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Assistant. I have been a preceptor for new employees at each of my jobs. I take pride in being a source of information and an educational resource for my co-workers. I have a bachelor's in Business Administration and a master's in Nursing Informatics.I have a unique skill set from having a diverse employment background. I have worked in multiple industries and have had the pleasure of meeting and working with many people from all walks of life. I am great at interacting, being able to relate, finding common ground, and empathizing with others. I believe it’s essential to know your audience. I am able to see and look at things differently and create ideas on how to streamline or innovate current practices. I can look at the big picture and multiple ‘what ifs’ down the road but also micro-focus. I am highly detail-oriented, noticing little things anywhere and everywhere that others might miss. I am forever curious and always ask questions to discover, build knowledge, grow, and create ideas. I am very hard-working, dedicated, and want to do right by those I commit to and serve. I believe you cannot fix a problem if no one knows it is there. I am for change and progress when needed because “that’s how it’s always been done” is not always the right way. I have high emotional intelligence and self-awareness, which leads me to be direct and honest, with a clear thought process behind my actions. I am looking to have a fulfilling career where I am valued and respected while making a difference in the lives of others.I have interests in many areas, with the main being sparking the changes that healthcare needs for our communities and staff. I thoroughly enjoy informatics, patient and staff coaching and education, medical cannabis, AI/medical technology, medical product & equipment consulting/development, medical cosmetic aesthetics, and how healthcare affects the environment (there is no planet B).
