In my current position, I am a lead writer and project manager for more than 20 grants and 25 reports, all of which help fundraise $5.5 million annually for exhibitions, school programs, and other museum projects. In addition to grant writing, I create and maintain numerous one-sheets, pitchbooks, and other fundraising/marketing materials for high level.

As the Development Assistant in the membership office, I managed all physical and digital communications for nearly 4,000 members. This involved writing, designing, and editing the monthly newsletters and weekly event invitations, as well as regular renewal reminders and other fundraising requests for a variety of constituents.I also oversaw the processing.

In this summer internship tied to my graduate program, I focused on prospect research for upcoming exhibitions at the museum. For this, I researched, and wrote philanthropic profiles of more than 100 potential donors.I also provided administrative support to the membership and individual giving teams.

My part-time fall internship for graduate school was in the membership office at the museum. During this time I drafted the monthly membership e-newsletter and became self-taught in editing errors in HTML code. I also supported the daily efforts of the membership office, including mailings and events.

Charlottesville, Virginia Area

For two years working at this locally owned luggage and travel store in Charlottesville, VA, I assisted the store owner in all daily activities of the store, including sales, inventory, ordering, and customer service.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

During this summer internship, I created and maintained object files for over 500 works in the collection and assisted with the collections inventory. During my internship during the 2012-2013 academic year, I designed and led weekly exhibition tours for groups of 10 to 20 students focusing on topics relate to contemporary Australian Aboriginal Art.I also supported the daily efforts of the Collections Manager and Registrar, including identifying pests and changing traps on a monthly basis as part of the.
