About Amy Hill, Bsc, Mmm

Project manager with over five years experience managing multi-year federally funded interdisciplinary collaborative research projects in aquatic science and resource management. Experience coordinating and preparing grant applications and funder reports, and coordinating outreach and engagement opportunities. Skilled in conducting fieldwork, data collection and analysis, as well as report writing both for distribution within government and to peer-reviewed journals. I hold Bachelor of Science (Marine Biology/Oceanography combined) and Masters of Marine Management degrees from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia where my main research focus was on quantifying energy content in calanoid copepods (a staple in the diet of the endangered North Atlantic right whale) and evaluating the role and designation of critical habitat as defined by the Species at Risk Act for the conservation of marine species at risk in Canada, respectively. My current interests revolve around finding ways to push scientific knowledge into policy and management decisions, stakeholder engagement, conservation biology, fisheries management, and aquaculture issues in Canada and around the globe.
