About Amy Scott
Passionate about mental health and wellbeing for all with experience working across all age ranges, from children and parents in Early Years settings to adults in post-retirement. I work pluralistically and integratively - I don't believe in sticking rigidly to one approach and instead tailor my sessions to the individual's needs, wishes and goals. I am trauma-informed and often bring somatic awareness to my work. Trained in creative and expressive therapies as well as integrative counselling and psychotherapy, I am able to 'think outside of the box' to help clients of all ages to find tools that suit their individual needs. I have a particular interest in: mindfulness, eco-anxiety and climate grief, polyvagal theory (the theory behind fight/flight/freeze and how tuning into our bodily awareness can help us to manage challenging situations and emotions), inner child work and attachment theory. As an ex-teacher, I have a passion for improving mental health and wellbeing in the education sector (for both pupils and staff) as well as supporting parents and carers with their own wellbeing and that of their children's.
