Profile bio

About Amy Schelemanow

One of my fine art photo professors told me I would make a great photo editor. It took a lot of professional and personal experience for me to grasp what she meant. She meant I was “overthinking”. I planned, considered, and exhausted the entire creative process intellectually before I clicked the shutter. That's not the method of a fine artist. But in the design process—whether graphic design, art or creative direction, project management, or branding and communications—that same layered, detailed, and comprehensive creative thinking is key to project success and personal growth. Those skills have propelled me through nine roles in my career, which have provided new, rewarding, and exciting creative challenges — every day. Quote that currently has me thinking:"An untended garden quickly becomes a field: plant what you want to grow." – Rob Giampietro

Listed skills include Photography, Marketing Communications, Image Editing, Project Management, and 16 others.
